Psalm 91...

This is my absolute favorite chapter in the Bible. No matter what I am going through it always puts me at peace. I feel safe in the reassurance that God has me in the palm of His hand. Anything that comes toward me, whether good, bad or terrible, can't ultimate shake me because God is my foundation. Beauty reveals itself to me in this chapter through empowerment. Its so empowering to know that you can conquer anything in the long run because God's hand is on your life. Just the thought that no earthly power can separate you from the safety of God will give you the confidence to do the impossible. Rest in the peace that comes from dwelling in the shelter of the Most High.
"Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare of the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I am trusting him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from the fatal plague. He will shield you with his wings. He will shelter you with his feathers. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor fear the dangers of the day, nor dread the plague that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. But you will see it with your eyes; you will see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your dwelling. For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on a stone. You will trample down lions and poisonous snakes; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue them and honor them. I will satisfy them with a long life and give them my salvation."

The sparrow...

My realization of beauty today is short and sweet. It came from Matthew 10. In verses 29-31 it says, "What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows."
You are so valuable to God. He cares so much for you. Since you are so precious to Him, it only makes since that He is concerned with the things that concern you. Every feeling of worry, fear or sadness, He feels. So rest in the fact that you are His beloved. The apple of His eye. His desire is to make all things work together of those who love Him. So, trust Him... its so much easier than trying to handle everything on your own.
